Introduction of the Association

James Lung International Art and Cultural Exchange Association has been formed since 2007. At that time, ethnic minorities in HK ask for more opportunities in participate in art and cultural aspects In the city. They also ask for an art center for ethnic minorities in the West Kowloon Cultural District.

We also try the best to find job opportunities for ethnic minorities in art and cultural aspects. The association frequently organizes forums to provide chances for multi-cultural and art exchange.

Since December 2009, we operate the Yau Tsim Mong Food bank. The food bank is provided not only for ethnic minorities, but also for local Chinese who are in need.

We think that it is a golden chance for more encounter opportunities between ethnic minorities and local Chinese. Please come to visit us and enjoy with multi-cultures and arts.

Introduction to James Lung Wai Man

James Lung is a Chinese and a multi art and cultural worker. He is a member of Composers and Authors Society of HK.

He has got the Bachelor of Social Sciences (Asia Pacific Studies) in Lingnan University HK. He has also got the High Diploma in social work in the HK Polytechnic University.

In March 2009, he has visited India and Nepal and shared their music and culture.

In 2007, he has founded James Lung International Art and Cultural exchange Association. The Association has got the voting right in Hong Kong Arts Development Council in 2010.

In 2006 to 2008, he has been a host and producer In different web radio stations. He is the first DJ in the city to introduce ethnic minorities DJ, language and music in his programs.

Recycling Program for the needed ones

We will be grateful if you can donate your unused things to us, including the follow items:

1. Books,
2. Clothes, and
3. Computers and small electronic appliances.

Many people need the above items. We can arrange the transportation for the donated items.

If you have time, you can personally give your donation items to the people in need. We can help you to arrange the appointment.

It is much better to give the unused items to the people in need than to put them to the landfills.

The Yau Tsim Mong Food Bank

The special features of the food bank
1. We provide vegetables.
2. We provide cooked food.
3. We provide rooms for eating.
4. We provide on-site services for disables.
5. We provide free interpreter services for ethnic minorities.
6. We help our clients to find jobs.
7. We have regular visits for our clients.
8. We welcome public visit to the food bank.

You can help us in following ways
1. To donate food to us.
2. To donate money to us.
3. To help us to distribute the food and visit our clients.
4. To help us to organize activities in the food bank
5. To teach the ethnic minorities how to speak and
6. Write Chinese and English in the food bank
7. To cook or visit and enjoy food with our clients in the food bank.
8. To help us to collect the unused but consumable food from food enterprises, supermarkets and vegetables markets.

If we do not collect the above food, they will probably be disposed to the landfills.

The aims of the food bank:
1. Recycle the used and consumable foods before disposure.
2. Reduce the pressure of the landfills.
3. Educate the public to respect the nature and have correct views in food consumption.
4. Provide food assistance for people in need.

The targets of the food bank
Single elderly, ethnic minorities, disables and other people who are in need.
An interview is needed before using the services of The food bank.

>From May 2006 to June 2007, we have produced <the World of Ethnics Minorities> in Uonlive Web Radio. Another series of the program have
